Hello, I am Mikayla and I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I am currently a third year transfer student at San Diego State University and I'm starting my 2nd semester here at this school. I chose SDSU because of the graphic design program and it is a local university that I can easily commute to. I am a graphic design major and I transferred from San Diego Miramar College. I took design and art classes at Miramar, Mesa, and City college or aka the San Diego Community College District. I am studying towards becoming a successful UI/UX designer or graphic designer, and hopefully not a starving artist.

In my free time, I love to draw, paint, go to art museums, and go to the beach often to watch the sunset. One of my favorite hobbies is picnicing! I really enjoy going to a scenic park and picnicing with friends during the summer. At picnics, I love to bring banh mi sandwiches, matcha boba drinks, and chocolate chip cookies! Thrifting is another favorite hobby of mine as well. One of my favorite places to thrift shop is CSU Thrift in Mira Mesa, which has cool and vintage streetwear.

I have one adorable dog named Miko! My family and I adopted our dog when he was 4 months old in 2012. He is a white furred maltese and pomeranian as well as he is going to turn 11 years old in April this year. Miko's favorite food are bananas, peanut butter, and bacon. My dog is also my parents' favorite child.
